ground kelp chili rub

Try this in place of a classic chili rub on chicken thighs or shrimp. To make, combine 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon chili powder, 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon kelp powder, 2 teaspoons hot paprika, 1 teaspoon ground cumin, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon fine sea salt, and 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper in a bowl. Transfer to a jar, cover, and store until ready for use. Makes approximately 1/4 cup.
