turmeric tea

Be sure to add a bit of black pepper to each mug, which helps in the absorption of the turmeric, giving you optional nutritional benefits.

1 teaspoon ground turmeric
Honey, to taste
Fresh lemon juice, to taste
Pinch freshly ground black pepper

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add turmeric, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Divide among 4 mugs and add a bit of honey and/or lemon to each. Add a pinch of black pepper and serve warm.

Serves 4.
