white hot chocolate

We love topping our warm mugs of hot chocolate with toasted marshmallows straight from the fire. 

4 cups whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
8 ounces white chocolate, roughly chopped
Fresh whipped cream or toasted marshmallows, for serving

  1. In a large saucepan, add milk, vanilla, and white chocolate. Cook over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until white chocolate is melted and mixture has come to a simmer. (Do not allow to boil.) Remove from heat and divide among mugs. Serve immediately with whipped cream or marshmallows if desired.
