It all started with a cookbook…
After living on the South Coast of Massachusetts for a few years, Karen J. Covey was inspired to write a cookbook about the region, celebrating all of the bounty it had to offer. And in the fall of 2013, The Coastal Table: Recipes Inspired by the Farmlands and Seaside of Southern New England, was published by Union Park Press.
Through signings and events, Karen met a lot of people who not only loved the recipes, but the stories about the people and their products weaved throughout it. And it got her thinking…what if we continued to tell these kinds of stories in another format?
So Karen formed a team and got to work creating The Coastal Table magazine. The Coastal Table is a quarterly celebration of the diverse stories that define the special nature of everyday life on the coast. Narratives, recipes, recommendations, and guides bring lasting insight and inspiration to every issue.
The Coastal Table is the 2018 winner - IACP publication of the year, a 2-time winner of the Folio award for Best Epicurean Consumer Magazine (2017, 2016), and a 2017 finalist for Overall Magazine Design.
